Energy Efficiency Workshop for Chamber Members
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- There is a meeting coming up later this week that could help local businesses save money.
The Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Public Service Commission to offer a workshop for business owners in the Golden Triangle Area.
This will give the businesses an opportunity to hear directly from companies like TVA and Atmos Energy on how they can save money on utility costs.
Chamber President Lisa James heard about some Tupelo businesses getting these benefits and she wanted to do the same for her members.
“We’re trying to bring opportunities to business owners so they can do energy efficient upgrades to their business and get a rebate on that so if you put up the money upfront to do energy efficient upgrades to your kitchen grills or your laundromat washers and dryers, you’ll actually get a rebate for that," James said.
This workshop will be this Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the seminar room on the campus of East Mississippi Community College and it’s free to all local businesses. Call the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce at (662) 328-4491 to register.
