COLUMBUS, Miss. – Sounds of Summer is back for its eleventh year. The four-part, free summer concert series returns to the Columbus Riverwalk on Thursday, June 7, from 7-9 pm.

Sounds of Summer is a joint collaboration between the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Columbus that takes place four weeks during June and July and lasts from 7 pm - 9 pm. The family-friendly event will kick off Thursday, June 7 with Style the Band. Big Hoss and The Little Joes will be the next group to headline on Thursday, June 21, while Stormy Monday takes center stage on Thursday, July 12. To conclude the series on July 26, The Bouncing Betty will be front and center.

Admission is free and there will be food and drink vendors on site so bring your family, friends, lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to enjoy local entertainment at its finest. This event was awarded Top 20 Events for June and July by the Southeast Tourism Society for the past six years.

Sounds of Summer is made possible through fabulous volunteers and sponsors such as Shelter Insurance John Longmire, PACCAR Engines, Golden Triangle Radiology, Jack's Restaurant, Rex’s Rentals, Falcon Lair Apartments, Financial Concepts, BankFirst, Cable One, Mitchell Distributing, Clark Beverage Co, NASH 94.9, Phillips Contracting. The keynote presenting sponsor of 2018 Sounds of Summer is CSpire.
