Baptist ER provider recognized for leadership
COLUMBUS, Miss., Dec. 10, 2020 – Francine Glenn, NP, has been awarded an Excellence in Leadership award by SCP Health (SCP), one of the largest health care partners in the country.
Glenn is a nurse practitioner and is the lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for SCP Health in the Emergency Department at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle. Based in Lafayette, LA, SCP Health, which includes 7,500 providers in 400 hospital facilities in 30 states, has provided physicians and nurse practitioners for Baptist Golden Triangle’s Emergency Services department since 2012. Glenn has been a leader with SCP since July 2018.
She was one of 10 providers nominated by key leaders within SCP and chosen for their consistent demonstration of superior leadership and proven results at their hospital facility and with the organization and have achieved the highest level of leadership and performance in their role. She received the award at the company’s virtual annual leadership conference in September 2020.
“I am honored and humbled to be recognized with this award,” Glenn said. “This award also reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication of the great team of medical professionals we have here in the Emergency Department at Baptist Golden Triangle. They work tirelessly every day to take care of our patients, and they help make my job as a leader easier,” she added.

“Francine is a champion of the causes of patient satisfaction and the implementation and accountability around the provider and triage program,” said Dr. Phil Parker, one of the medical officers for SCP.
“She writes the APP (Advanced Practice Provider) schedule and the physician schedule and works 18 to 20 shifts a month. She is recognized locally as a strong leader and a calming force,” Parker added. “The Baptist Golden Triangle team is extremely proud of Francine’s recognition for the work she does for our patients and through her leadership role within the Emergency Department,” said Lauri Sansing, Baptist Golden Triangle director of Emergency Services and Trauma.”
“Her display of care and compassion each day makes her a valuable asset to our team, and we appreciate her commitment and dedication to our patients,” she added.
With 315 beds, Baptist Golden Triangle is one of the largest regional hospital affiliated with the Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care system. With physicians and surgeons representing almost every medical specialty practicing at the hospital, Baptist Golden Triangle offers a wide range of comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.
